Draining the Swamp In Our Modern ‘Churches’

   Prior to President Trump’s first term in office back in 2016, he often touted he was going to come into office and “drain the swamp” in Washington. Once elected, he ran into a “buzz saw” in the form of “Washington politics” which he was unprepared for. He then, over the next four years, spent all his energies keeping himself out of jail and from being impeached. “Russiagate” sabotaged any effort to “drain the swamp.”

   But after four years of planning his return, strategy and revenge, he came in with a plan which took off at breakneck speed. The first thing he did was hit the “swamp” where it hurts the most — the pocketbook! And now, much of the swamp — such as corrupt NGOs and politicians — are now swirling around the drain at the bottom of the swamp awaiting their eventual demise.

But an even bigger question needs to be asked: Does the American Church need draining? Well, before we get around to answering that question, let’s take a closer look.  Let’s start with our sheep!
