So, I picked up a copy of the WCN newspaper at George Webb’s today. Never heard of the paper until I picked it up today. I read an article by Christopher Cain, titled “A Time To Repent.” Much of what he had to say I was in total agreement. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. The problem is the “he who is in you” part.
How many blinded, compromising, people claiming to be Christian, have to ask Who are you talking about? Who’s in me? God made Jesus Christ available for the asking, but, I hope you can remember the moment. You said that simple prayer, things changed. Often we call new born Christians out to read the Bible and develop your knowledge and you will become a mature Christian. In many ways the very first period of your new guidance the Holy Spirit is so overwhelming that we do want to tell everyone.
We don’t want to give them a sermon. They didn’t work for you. We just want to tell them how simple God made it to inherit Christ’s Spirit for the asking.
