On July 4th of this year, America will be celebrating its Semiquincentennial anniversary, marking 250 years since the adoption of the declaration of independence and a constitution based on the “Laws of Nature and Nature’s God.” Many will claim that we have “come a long way baby” and they are absolutely right, but not necessarily in a good way. For example, we are a nation where we now find the majority of our population off the farms and into the cities. American families have driven through the industrial revolution and are now in a rapidly moving phase where information and artificial intelligence will make the industrial revolution look like child’s play.
Think about it. We are already in an Uber generation where with the snap of our fingers, or perhaps better said the click of our phone, we can have our heart’s desires delivered within minutes. We have information systems delivering data to us anticipating our needs and if we don’t know what we want, this same system can help us with that as well — in a nation where the poor live like kings and queens compared to other nations. That is why we have millions of residents of other nations doing whatever they can to gain access to our goods and services knowing that if they can get a foothold in our country, their lives will be immensely better.
