Hollywood, Occultism, and the Battle for the Mind

Satan is pulling out all the stops in his warfare against Jesus Christ and His saints. His primary target is our minds. Lucifer is no dummy. He knows that whoever controls the mind controls the actions. Therefore, above all, Satan is a mind-influencer, mind-bender, and mind-molder. Although the worlds news agencies dont recognize it, lifes greatest conflicts do not occur on bloodstained battlefields or desert sands, but inside human hearts and heads. Dont forget it. The biggest battle is for the mind.

But I fear, Paul wrote, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ (2 Corinthians 11:3, italics added). Here Paul described the battle for the mind and used Eves downfall as a warning. Notice carefully: The serpent influenced Eves thoughts before she plucked the forbidden fruit (see Genesis 3:6). Paul feared that what happened inside Eves pretty head might happen to Christians. Therefore we must guard our minds lest through satanic subtlety they become corrupted from the purity of Jesus Christ.

One of the most potent mind-molding forces today can be summarized in one word: Hollywood.
