Resurrection: Foundational Event of the Church

Soon we will observe what evangelicals, liberal Protestants, and Roman Catholics call Easter.  Most will make much of bunnies and colorful eggs apart from giving the reverence due to the Christ and Messiah who conquered death by His resurrection.

History shows us that  Adam’s race has  always sought immortality by means of their own religious customs and imaginations but without Biblical merit.  For the most part, that “old family tradition” has trumped the Word of God!  The Lord Christ is often shunned, at worst, or just ignored at best.

The Arminian believes that  Jesus died for each and every individual, thus suggesting that some of God’s elect are in the depths of hell.  Many modern day professors no longer believe in the literal, bodily resurrection of Christ and the events that transpired before and after His crucifixion.

Even today some of these religious professors still have our Savior hanging on the cross, and their priests go about crucifying their “jesus” every time the mass is
recited.

To the Christian, every Lord’s Day is a time to celebrate and  commemorate the momentous victory of Christ our Savior and King!  He crushed the serpent’s head and ushered in His Kingdom; delivering His people from darkness and despair!  He makes good on all His promises and frees His blood bought remnant from slavery to sin, satan, and self!

Won’t you surrender to Him in childlike faith and repentance today?  “And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching in vain, and your faith is also vain.” (1 Corinthians  15:14).
