The Mystery Of the Gospel

   We have looked at several mysteries that Paul referred to, that have caused the gospel to become a greater mystery than ever before.  (1.) The mystery of iniquity, the knowledge of evil which is the cause of evil.  (2.) The mystery of wisdom, with the inability of man to discern good from evil, except God put it in our heart.  (3.)  The mystery of godliness, to be more like God, when we are so biblically illiterate!   (4.)  The mystery of grace which has nothing to do with whether one deserve it or not, but is determined by what one needs to live as one was created to live.  (5.)  The mystery of faith, with its effect on the conscience, and our understanding of the gospel.

   To continue with the subject of one’s conscience which in John 1:9 states Jesus, “was that true Light which lighteth every man that cometh into the world,” that being truth. For Jesus said in John 14:16, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”  The Son of God, Creator, King of kings, and Savior gave every man that light since Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  What changed?  They gained the knowledge of evil!  The knowledge of evil is not sin, but becomes sin when one chooses the evil, rebelling against God’s clear commands.  T ...
