Points to Ponder

   As you look at our nation’s government, it is easy to see that it is broken, and we seem incapable of fixing it. When you look at the family, it seems broken, and we seem incapable of fixing it. When you look at the educational system, it seems broken, and again we seem incapable of fixing it. When you look at the church, it seems impotent, and we seem powerless to do anything about it. When you look at...well you get the idea.

   It seems as if we have begun to believe that there is nothing we can do, so we do nothing other than protect the things we think would directly affect us, our comfort, and our self-made significance and security.

   The “Goliath” of modern culture shows up daily and mocks our God, His people, and His ways, and we individually and corporately hide behind the boulders of “normal” thinking there is no alternative.

   In this way, we lose.

   The alternative is to stop our passivity and begin to live in a way that makes sense in the context of the only reality that exists. We need to personally decide that God knows what He is talking about, and begin to treat evil as He would treat evil. We need to stop entertaining ourselves with things that make God cry, and replace the constant flow of evil that penetrates our minds with a constant flow of good.
