“Now the leper on whom the sore is, his clothes shall be torn and his head bare; and he shall cover his mustache, and cry, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’ He shall be unclean. All the days he has the sore he shall be unclean. He is unclean, and he shall dwell alone; his dwelling shall be outside the camp.” -Leviticus 13:45,46.
You quarantine the sick — they were sent outside the camp. You do not quarantine the whole of society.
Notice also in God’s law that the rights and freedoms of the entire population are not abridged just because there is disease. Under God’s law there was a process to determine whether the person was truly sick with a contagion. If they were, then you separated them out — you quarantined them. Not the whole of society.
